Haor barta : The government has awarded freedom fighters status to 253 artistes or ‘Shabdo-Sainik’ of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra.

The Liberation War Affairs Ministry issued a notice in this regard on Tuesday morning (July 11).

Bangladesh government has published a list containing 253 real freedom fighters according to the National Freedom Fighters’ Council Act 2002 (Act 8 of 2002) who were Shabdo-Sainik in Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra and cultural organization formed during the 1971 liberation war, said the notice.

As per the notice, the decision was made based on the agenda No. 8.07 of 44th Meeting of the National Liberation Council.
